Domino's Delivery Driver Shoots and Kills Robber

Delivering pizzas can be awfully dangerous.

A Domino's delivery driver in Hollywood, Florida shot and killed a robber late last night. According to NBC 6, "The delivery worker was returning from a few deliveries when two suspects approached him and attempted to rob him." The armed driver fired at the suspects — six times, according to witnesses — and one was killed; the other fled and has yet to be apprehended.

Reached for comment via email, a spokesperson for Domino's says, "As do all national pizza delivery companies, we have a no weapons policy at our company-owned stores. The event in Hollywood, Florida is an ongoing police investigation and we are cooperating with local law enforcement."

It can be dangerous out there for pizza delivery drivers: Last month in Cincinnati two drivers were robbed by a group of men wielding swords, and earlier this year armed youth in Chicago targeted pizza drivers in a string of robberies.
