Caitlyn Jenner's Country Club Has Rules That Prevent Her From Dining With Male Friends

The club has separate restaurants for men and women.

Transgender Olympian Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, may unfortunately have to give up one of her favorite restaurants as part of her transition. According to TMZ, Jenner is a member of the exclusive Sherwood Country Club in Thousands Oaks, Calif. where she has golfed and dined "almost every day" since she joined 15 years ago. However, the country club has a strange and gendered restaurant set up.

Sherwood Country Club features a grill in the men's locker room, which serves only male clientele. The woman's locker room "has its own eating area which is way more scaled down" for some unexplainable reason. Sources tell TMZ that Sherwood's board plans to enforce the rules when the club re-opens in December. This means "the camaraderie Bruce shared with the other members will be impeded now that she's Caitlyn," per TMZ. Jenner — who has yet to comment on the situation — will be given the chance to appeal if she wants. Eater has reached out to Sherwood Country Club for comment.
