Burger chain Carl's Jr. seems determined to revolutionize the ice cream sandwich, one processed snack food at a time. The restaurant launched a strawberry Pop-Tart ice cream sandwich in 2013 and now, Carl's Jr. is slinging Ding Dong ice cream sandwiches just in time for beach season. The dessert features a the chocolate Hostess snack cake split in two and sandwiched around a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
