Humanity's obsession with food porn is about to hit a whole new level with the addition of a photo-sharing app dedicated to food pics only. Food and Wine reports that the new app, aptly named Wine 'n Dine, allows users to tag the restaurant their featured dish is from, giving followers the opportunity to create lists of their favorites.
Now, food lovers are guaranteed a social media platform to keep them focused on their favorite topic all day, every day. A customized feed allows users to follow friends, chefs, and professional food nerds from all over the world so they're up to date on the global culinary scene. There is also a "Wanna Try" feature that allows diners to track pictures that strike their fancy and see if they are available in their area. Wine 'n Dine is available for iOS and Android.
Social media is a big deal in the restaurant industry, and it seems that no brand, no matter how big, is too big to take advantage of the publicity. McDonald's is working on a partnership with with Snapchat to place location-based, Mickey D's-themed filters on photos taken at any of the chain's locations.
