A few Tokyo restaurants are celebrating the "Mario" franchise's 30th birthday.
Super Mario Bros., the iconic video game enjoyed by Gen-Xers and Millennials alike, came out 30 years ago, introducing Yoshi, Koopa Troopa, and Bowser to the American lexicon. In honor of the game's birthday, Tower Records is transforming its three Tokyo restaurants into Super Mario Cafes, for a limited time (H/T: Kotaku).
Along with the Mario-themed decor, Rocket News 24 reports the restaurants are serving incredible menus with dishes such as a Super Star Rice Omelet and Bowser's Taco Rice, and beverages include a Mario Latte and Pirana Plant Soda. No word on whether the Super Star Rice Omelet will give diners a few moments of fleeting invincibility.

The Super Mario Cafes will be in business through July 5, and they come a few months after another Japanese icon saw a food-themed celebration. Hello Kitty Cafe popped up inside Tokyo's Parco department store last winter in honor of the character's 40th birthday, serving up food in the shape of the adorable cat/girl.
