What recall?
Coravin — the revolutionary device that allows wine to be poured by the glass without removing the cork — clearly isn't suffering too much following last year's safety recall. The company just scored a fresh injection of cash from investors to the tune of $13.6 million, says Decanter. Coravin's CEO says the money will be used "for research and development" as well as to continue global expansion.
The system was recalled last summer following multiple reports of wine bottles shattering after use of the device. All Coravin devices now come with neoprene wine bottle sleeves to remedy the issue, as well as updated instructions and and safety warnings.
