Ben & Jerry's Celebrates Marriage Equality Ruling With New Ice Cream Name

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is now "I Dough, I Dough."

This morning the Supreme Court handed down a landmark decision declaring same-sex marriage legal for the entire nation, and naturally, people are celebrating. According to the Huffington Post, famously liberal ice cream gurus Ben & Jerry's are commemorating the momentous occasion with a newly renamed flavor: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough will be known as "I Dough, I Dough" for the duration of the summer. The special packaging — which will be available at B&J's scoop shops — features an image of two (presumably male) cows in top hats linking tails.

Ben & Jerry's has a history of creating flavors to honor causes they support: In May they launched "Save Our Swirled" to raise awareness for climate change. Earlier this year someone started a petition to get the company to create a flavor honoring Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, but sadly that hasn't come to fruition.
