Fight 'an ancient edible evil' when it hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year
Brace for a new food-themed video game: Called Overcooked, it's slated to hit Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles and PCs sometime later this year from developer Ghost Town Games, according to Windows Central.
Ghost Town has partnered with developer Team 17 to release the game, and explains the game's plot thusly: "The Onion Kingdom is in danger and only the finest cooking can save it! In Overcooked players must journey through a variety of cruel and unusual kitchens on their quest to become master chefs capable of conquering an ancient edible evil which plagues the land." Players can go it alone, or play in co-op or challenge mode with up to 4 players.
For those who can't get enough food-themed games, The Sims is releasing a restaurant expansion pack this spring. Meanwhile in the mobile gaming arena, shouty chef Gordon Ramsay is preparing to release a game of his own, complete with plenty of true-to-life swearing.
