World's 50 Best Releases List From 51 to 100

Should the company change its name to World's 100 Best?

This morning, the World's 50 Best released a sort of bottom half to its list of the world's 50 best restaurants: Its ranking of restaurants numbered 51 through 100. A week before announcing its 50 best restaurants for 2015, the guide/S.Pellegrino-funded organization named restaurants around the world that didn't make it into the top 50 but are among its top 100.

In the Bay Area, Saison, Coi, and Manresa made the cut. Estela, Daniel, Momofuku Ko, Masa, and Nomad represent New York City on the list. Somewhat surprisingly Restaurant Daniel didn't make the top 50; it landed at number 40 last year and this year fell to number 80. For the first time since its inception, a restaurant in Montreal made the list: Allison Cunningham, David McMillan, and Frédéric Morin's Joe Beef.
