NEW YORK — Taste Talks, a food-related symposium, will return to Brooklyn this September. The event, which will feature various panels and tastings, will run September 11 through September 13. Questlove, best known as drummer for hip hop band The Roots, will moderate the festival. Guests will include Dominique Ansel​(Dominique Ansel Bakery), Michael Chernow​(The Meatball Shop), Dickson Despommier ​(Vertical Farm), and more. Tickets begin at $90 and can be purchased here. FOOD POLICY — Food For Tomorrow, a two-day food conference sponsored by The New York Times, will take place this fall at Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, N.Y. for the second straight year. The conference, which aims to tackle questions of food politics, alleviating world hunger, and the changing agricultural landscape, will feature food executives, policy makers, as well as NYT staffers and contributors. Mark Bittman, Paul Krugman, and Kim Severson, among others, are expected to join.
