World's Sweetest Five-Year-Old Treats Homeless Man to Waffle House
A five-year-old set a mighty fine example for the rest of the world at Waffle House, of all places. Josiah Duncan and his mother Ava Faulk were eating at a Prattville, Ala. location o the chain when they saw a homeless man standing outside the restaurant, says news affiliate WSFA. After Josiah realized the man didn't have a home or any food, he insisted that his mother treat the homeless man to a meal.
Per WSFA:
"He came in and sat down, and nobody really waited on him," Faulk explained. "So Josiah jumped up and asked him if he needed a menu because you can't order without one." The man insisted on a cheap hamburger to start, but he was assured he could have anything he wanted. He got the works. "Can I have bacon?" Faulk remembers him asking, "And I told him get as much bacon you want.
Josiah then led the man in a prayer before his meal, reportedly eliciting tears from the rest of the customers."Watching my son touch the 11 people in that Waffle House tonight will be forever one of the greatest accomplishments as a parent I'll ever get to witness," Faulk told WSFA.
It's certainly nice to hear a Waffle House story that doesn't involve robbery, murder, or pie-incited violence. Watch the heartwarming news story, below:
