Disney and Ferran Adrià Join Forces for Kid-Focused Cookbook

60 recipes were inspired by films such as Star Wars and Monsters Inc.

Here's an unlikely pairing for you: El Bulli founder Ferran Adrià and Mickey Mouse. The Spanish superchef has teamed up with Disney to "produce a new multimedia, healthy family-cooking entertainment offering" inspired by the entertainment goliath's films, according to Phaidon.

Titled Te Cuente en la Cocina: Cocina con la imaginacion de Ferran Adrià, the project encompasses a 296-page cookbook, a website, and a digital app that includes 60 recipes inspired by Disney and Pixar films, including Marvel superhero movies and Star Wars. Expect dishes like Jungle Book juice, an apple decorated to look like Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc., and something called "eggplant padawan," among others. Disney promises all the recipes will be family-friendly and made with easily accessible ingredients, and said recipes were also overseen by the nutrition department of Madrid's Hospital La Paz to ensure they're healthy.

For adults who aren't interested in eating apples that look like monsters, Adrià has other cookbooks that are plenty more complicated: His pricey el Bulli cookbooks are full of obscure, impossible-to-source ingredients and recipes that take multiple days, not to mention lots of expensive equipment, to produce.
