Bernie Sanders Is Throwing His Own Mini-Coachella

This is just good campaigning

Polls prove young voters love Bernie Sanders, and the Vermont senator's campaign is fully capitalizing on that by throwing a mini-version of Coachella. A two-day block party that's affectionately being dubbed "Berniechella" will take place in Old Town Coachella on April 21 and 22, reports the Desert Sun, just prior to the iconic music festival's second weekend.

The free event will feature millennial bait such as food trucks and beer gardens, as well as art exhibitions. No word on specific food offerings just yet, but surely there will be Bernie beer and Bernie (veggie) burgers. Musical guests include Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Ozomatli, and Shepard Fairey and Zoe Kravitz, who besides being a famous street artist and an actress, respectively, are also apparently DJs. Perhaps the shouty grandpa will even show up and rock the decks for his own set? Stay tuned.

We humbly suggest that in addition to the usual t-shirts and buttons, Sanders' campaign also consider distributing Bernie flower crowns.
