2015 Daytime Emmy Nominees Include Ina Garten, Giada De Laurentiis, Jacques Pépin

And once again, 'Mind of a Chef' gets several nods

Awards season continues with today's announcement of nominees for the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmys. Once again, culinary programs fared quite well this year, with several nominations each for PBS's Mind of a Chef and A Chef's Life; big Food Network names Giada de Laurentiis and Ina Garten also got nods for their respective specials Giada in Italy and Barefoot in L.A., and Eric Ripert's Cooking Channel series Avec Eric was recognized as well. Other big names on the list: Rick Bayless and Jacques Pépin.

Additionally, the lead artist for Mind of a Chef will be presented with an award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation, giving the PBS series a total of five nominations this year.

The Daytime Emmys will not be televised this year; apparently there were difficulties finding a sponsor this year, but they hope to return with a telecast for 2017.
