Where to eat in St. Louis right now.
Today Eater returns to St. Louis, Missouri to focus on 10 newish bars and restaurants that have been garnering some serious buzz. Just like last time, Eater has asked St. Louis Post-Dispatch restaurant critic Ian Froeb for his picks of the hottest openings of the past 12 months.
St. Louis is keeping pace with some major national trends like fried chicken-focused restaurants (Byrd & Barrel, Southern), an increasing interest in Filipino food (Guerrilla Street Food), and, of course, fancy toast (Milque Toast Bar). Also generating excitement: a new restaurant from an alum of Gerard Craft's Niche/Taste empire (Matthew Daughaday's Reeds American Table) and an Italian-American revamp by chef Mike Randolph (Randolfi's Italian Kitchen, a fitting companion to St. Louis's unofficial restaurant of the year, Público).
