McDonald's Customer With No Chill Threatens Murder Over Order Dispute

Shots were fired, but there were no serious injuries.

'Tis the season to be jolly, but don't tell that to one hot-headed McDonald's customer. Devin Gibbs was arrested Saturday after he threatened to kill a fellow customer and fired shots inside a Miami-area Mickey D's outpost, reports WSVN-TV. One bullet hit a man in the arm, and the incident reportedly occurred after the suspect and victim exchanged heated words.

"[They were] talking stupid to each other, then [the suspect] took out the gun and said, 'I'll kill you right now,'" witness Wilder Smith told WSVN. The victim was yelling at Gibbs, telling him his order was up, according to the report. Incredibly, Smith told the Miami TV station the victim continued eating after he was shot, and he refused treatment at an area hospital: "He didn't care. He took it like a soldier."

Impulsive, violent outbursts are, unfortunately, nothing new at low-rent chains. Last month, a Waffle House customer in Mississippi shot and killed a server over the restaurant's no-smoking policy.

McDonald's has not responded to an Eater request for comment. See the local news report on the shooting below.
