Thirsty Grinch Weaponizes Beer Bottle Over Christmas Music

This will get you on the naughty list.

Not everyone is a fan of Christmas and the holiday season, and that's OK. What's not OK is throwing a beer bottle at your bartender just because they want to play some Christmas music. That's what happened at a Madison, Wis., watering hole on Christmas Eve, reports WISC-TV, which led to the arrest of Christopher W. Gamboeck.

Gamboeck reportedly was bellied up at Farm Tavern Bar when his barkeep had the audacity to switch the tunes from Black Sabbath to an unidentified Christmas melody. That's when the 33-year-old lost it. Among his alleged offenses:

  • Gamboeck chugged his beer and then hurled it at the bartender's head.
  • On his way out of the bar, he pulled down a Christmas tree and broke several ornaments.
  • He charged toward and fought police officers who tracked him to his apartment and yelled "gender-based obscenities" at a female officer.

Unsurprisingly, witnesses described Gamboeck as "intoxicated and violent." He was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

Something in the Wisconsin water must be making the state's residents grouchy. Over the weekend, a Taco Bell patron in La Crosse received a disorderly conduct ticket for yelling at drive-thru workers. The employees' offense? They accidentally put tomatoes on the ill-tempered woman's tacos.
