Restaurant Chain Vows to Be 'Politically Incorrect' By Saying 'Merry Christmas'

Is the "war on Christmas" a real thing?

As the supposed "war on Christmas" wages on, one Texas-based restaurant chain has made it clear which side it's on. According to ABC News, Berryhill Baja Grill is warning its customers that it plans on being "politically incorrect" this holiday season, with stores displaying signs that read:

Notice: This store is politically incorrect. We say 'Merry Christmas,' 'God bless America.' We salute our flag and give thanks to our troops, police officers, and firefighters. If this offends you, you are welcome to leave. In God we trust.

Berryhill CEO Jeff Anon says he's fighting back against "everybody having to be politically correct"; "the last straw" was the recent controversy that erupted over Starbucks decidedly non-festive red cups. His weapon of choice? Christmas spirit. "There's nothing wrong with saying 'Merry Christmas' in lieu of 'Happy Holidays,'" he says. Although he himself is Jewish, Anon proclaims, "When people say Merry Christmas, they're being nice."

While the CEO admits that a few people have complained about the signs, he claims there have been "hundreds" of positive reactions. He has even had several requests from customers to purchase their own signs. The restaurant took to Facebook to thank customers for their support of the pro-Christmas campaign:
