Today, Eater returns to Phoenix, Arizona to focus on 10 new bars and restaurants that are garnering some serious buzz. As like last time around, Phoenix Magazine's contributing food writer Laura Hahnefeld has kindly offered her picks for the hottest openings of the past 12 months.

Among her picks are some exciting additions to the global mix of cuisine available in Phoenix, from Malaysian to Polish and more (BP Street Cafe, Couscous Express, Max's Mukhaase, Milk Bar). A downtown Scottsdale restaurant has been totally transformed by the addition of a new chef, who's on pace to make it one of the most essential Italian restaurants in the city (Evo).
