Joel Burger and Ashley King made it official.
Mr. Burger officially wed Ms. King last weekend, in what had to be the most glorious nuptials in fast food history. In April, news broke that Illinois couple Joel Burger and Ashley King were getting married in July. The duo reached out to Burger King for permission to use the company's logo on their wedding favors. When the chain caught wind of the story, it decided to help the couple create "a whopper of a wedding" by paying for the event and offering branded swag.
Today notes that the branded presents included paper crowns for the entire wedding party (which featured prominently in wedding photos), and Burger King shirts, which the groomsmen donned underneath their suits. The State Journal-Register writes that Burger and his party were also wearing Burger King cufflinks and hamburger socks. The chain provided custom mason jars for the reception and $10 gift cards for all of the guests. However, now that the couple is married, Ashley says she is taking her husband's name — meaning that they are now a double Burger. Joel tells Today they will forever think of themselves as "Burger King," though.

So which chain will sponsor a wedding next? Perhaps Chipotle will pay for the nuptials of this San Francisco man who took some seriously epic engagement photos with one of the chain's burritos.
