Selfless Romantic Puts Proposal on Hold to Put Robber in a Chokehold

Spoiler alert: She said yes.

Asking your true love for their hand in marriage is probably one of the most memorable moments of your life, especially if you happen to save the day with your mad crimefighting skills.

According to WCNC, Nicholas Anderson and his bride-to-be Deanna Deal were dining at Salsarita's in Hickory, North Car. on Monday night. Anderson was preparing to propose, but first he managed to thwart a robbery in progress:

"The manager came to the door and locked the door. The guy behind the manager pushed him out of the way and unlocked the door," said Anderson.

That's when Nick jumped in to save the day. He grabbed the culprit before he could get away and pulled him back into the restaurant. He placed him in a choke hold and within seconds the robber was out cold.

Anderson forged ahead with his plans for the proposal, popping the question at a park later that night (which was probably a bit more romantic than a fast-casual burrito restaurant anyway). Thankfully, he didn't follow in the footsteps of the guy who was recently rejected when he proposed with a McDonald's chicken sandwich — she said yes.
