The 13 Hottest Restaurants in Berlin Right Now

Where to eat in the German capital.

Today, Eater returns to Berlin, Germany to highlight the hottest drinking and dining the city has to offer. This time around, Eater welcomes writer and Berlin Food Stories founder Per Meurling, who shares his picks for the 13 newish bars and restaurants garnering some serious buzz.

Among his picks: Soho House's "breathtakingly cool" concept that houses a restaurant inside a retail destination (the Store Kitchen), a new Japanese izakaya that's already cemented its status as the best in the city (Zenkichi), and a contemporary Nordic spot that's dishing out Berlin's top seafood dishes (Dóttir). Meanwhile, chefs are remaining ambitious at concepts like the St. John-inspired Industry Standard and the Michelin-starred Nobelhart & Schmutzig, the latter of which Meurling calls "one of the most unconventional and exciting fine-dining experiences Berlin has ever seen."

Here now, and in alphabetical order, the updated Eater Heatmap to Berlin. (And if you're looking for a greatest hits of Berlin bars while you're there, consult this map as well.)
