Waiter Demands $8.6M of Proceeds from Mayweather/Pacquiao Fight

The Hollywood waiter and aspiring actor reportedly facilitated the 'Fight of the Century'

A Hollywood waiter who said he brokered the meeting between CBS's head honcho Leslie Moonves and Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach is suing for a finder's fee, according to Deadline. The $8.6 million suit alleges that Gabriel Salvador, or Gabriel Rueda as he's also known, is due two percent of the total gross of the fight.

Salvador reportedly worked as a waiter at Craig's in West Hollywood and said he had spoken often with Moonves when he visited the restaurant and connected him with Roach to set up a fight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

In documents obtained by Deadline, Salvador is suing for breach of contract. He claimed he was owed a finder's fee for arranging the meeting.

"Salvador made the introduction with the understanding of both Moonves and Roach that he would be paid a finder's fee of 2% of the gross proceeds from the Fight paid to the networks CBS Corp. and the Showtime Network, Inc. and to Pacquiao and Roach," the suit reads. Moonves and CBS are not named in this suit, filed yesterday in L.A. Superior Court.

Salvador is an aspiring actor, according to TMZ Sports, and has appeared on Bones, Blue Bloods, and NCIS: Los Angeles.
