Genius Girl Scout Hawks Cookies Outside Marijuana Dispensary

An adult probably put her up to this.

When it comes to running a successful retail business, they say location is everything. That fact was certainly not lost on a young Oregon-based Girl Scout, who wisely set up shop selling the troop's coveted cookies outside a Portland pot dispensary.

Everyone loves Girl Scout cookies, but specifically targeting the stoner demographic with Tagalongs and Samoas is just good marketing. And while the proximity to massive quantities of (legal) weed might not totally mesh with the Girl Scouts' squeaky clean image, it's still perfectly permissible: "The Girl Scouts organization said they don't condone this, but it's not against the rules," the enterprising Scout's aunt told local news station KATU.

The spot outside Foster Buds Marijuana Dispensary apparently proved to be pretty lucrative, as the young cookie mogul quickly surpassed her goal of selling 35 boxes. The shop even capitalized on the cookie sales with a promotion of their own, offering customers a discount on a strain of pot called Girl Scout Cookies when they showed proof of a cookie purchase.

"It seems like people are happy we're here," the young entrepreneur told KATU. One day you'll understand, kid. Meanwhile, let's hope this year doesn't bring another Thin Mint shortage like the one that terrorized cookie lovers last year.
