A UK Bar Wants to Rescue Patrons from Bad Tinder Dates

It's never too late to swipe left

A UK bar is getting into the business of rescuing people from Tinder dates. The Brickyard, located in St. Albans just outside of London, posted a notice in the women's restroom offering assistance in the event that a Tinder date turns south, Metro reported.

Titled "Tinder Date Gone Wrong?," the sign goes on to say, "If you're on a date and it's not going well, come to the bar and ask for Rachelle or Jennifer and we'll get you out of it and/or get you a taxi. Your safety and happiness is our highest priority."

While Tinder dates typically provide some level of entertainment for restaurant staff, as a group of NYC bartenders attested to, The Brickyard understands that things can occasionally go beyond the expected awkward conversations and potential lack of chemistry and turn seriously uncomfortable.

"If anyone is bothering you or making you feel uncomfortable please tell us. We will discretely move them away, and if necessary ask them to leave. The Brickyard is safe and fun, we want you to enjoy your time here. Talk to us and we'll sort it out," the sign concludes.

The Brickyard, which has received positive feedback from all over the world for the sign, has since added a similar sign in the men's restroom.

Meanwhile, those who don't want to use Tinder to actually go on dates at bars can take a page out of one Chicago woman's book and get matches to send delivery food instead.
