Delicious it will be
Fresh on the heels of the success of The Force Awakens, the Star Wars dining trend shows no sign of waning. Case in point: A Star Wars-themed dinner — called The Fork Awakens, naturally — will take place in London in June.
As reported by Mashable, the pop-up will be set in Darth Vader's kingdom, and will "take Foodtroopers into an immersive journey through time and space, with many familiar encounters and interactive adventures along the way."
The menu includes hutt dogs, "special spacefood,"and, of course, Jedi lightsaber drinks from the canteen. Tickets include a cocktail, four-course interactive meal, "set design," and entertainment.
The dinner is one of a slew of unusual pop-ups held across the pond (and arguably more fun than the now-cancelled Death Row Dinners). In true pop-up fashion, the address to the venue hosting the event will be disclosed 48 hours prior to the event taking place. Tickets to the June 23 event are approximately $80 USD, and six other dates are also in the works.
In America, both Disney World and Disneyland are currently building "Star Wars Lands" said to include at least two bar/restaurant concepts. The menus haven't yet been released, but judging by the dishes served at a temporary Star Wars-themed Disneyland restaurant earlier this year, theme park goers can expect dishes like Darth Tamales, First Order burgers, and Bantha Blue Milk Bread.
