It was disguised in an order of wings
A man who ordered a batch of chicken wings from a Quick fast food restaurant in southern France claims he nearly chomped down on a rather horrifying surprise: a battered and fried chicken head. Customer Mounir Bessaïh said he almost bit into the head thinking the beak was a bone, according to Le Parisien.
Bessaïh wisely took a video of his gross discovery — which was soon posted to LiveLeak and has been viewed more than 50,000 times — before reporting the incident to the restaurant staff; he was offered a milkshake and a coffee as compensation, The Local reported.
Quick posted a note on its Facebook page in French, acknowledging the chicken head incident: "The team of the quick of Saint-Jean De Vedas and the supplier of chicken wings are sincerely sorry about the mishap known by a customer of the restaurant on 18 April and shock that has produced the discovery of a head of fried chicken in a Bag of chicken wings," the translation reads. The company has since launched an investigation; watch the gross video below, if you dare:
This is not the first time someone has turned up a potentially unpleasant surprise in a fried chicken order. Last year, KFC turned to science to prove that an oddly shaped piece of chicken was not, in fact, a deep-fried rat. Additionally, Krispy Kreme was forced to investigate its own food safety after a customer discovered a piece of latex glove inside a doughnut she purchased from a grocer in the UK.
