What's Going on With This Gwyneth Paltrow 'Condé Nast Traveler' Cover?

Where's the sandy beach with crystal-clear water?

Condé Nast Traveler is the luxe magazine that attempts to "deliver inspiration and service, whether you are in the dreaming stages of a safari or searching for that perfect cacio e pepe in Rome." Its covers typically feature images of exotic locales that are meant to inspire, you know, travel. So the October 2015 issue is a bit of a departure.

Hollywood superstar Gwyneth Paltrow and cookbook author does have her own lifestyle publication, the adorably titled Goop. But, what exactly does this cover have to do with travel? This CN Traveler story on Paltrow does mention some of her favorite restaurants, but they're all in New York or Los Angeles. Furthermore, what's up with Gwyneth's shirt, and why does the whole thing look like it's from the '70s? The issue is on newsstands now, though none of this appears to have much to do with travel.
