Andrew Zimmern Will Let Cabbies Be His Culinary Guides in 'Meter's Running'

The Bizarre Foods host is getting another Travel Channel show.

After serving as a guide to weird eats around the world for years, Andrew Zimmern is going to let someone else bring the recommendations. In a new Travel Channel show, Meter's Running, Zimmern will set his sights on various cities and allow local transportation pros — cabbies, shikara drivers, gondoliers, and the like — to point him in the direction of the best dishes in town.

Eight hour-long episodes have been green lit, according to a press release, and the show should premiere on Travel Channel sometime next year. In addition to Meter's Running, the Zimmern-hosted Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations will return for a third season in 2016. Cities featured on the show will include Bogota, Charleston, Honolulu, the Philippines, Providence, Seattle, Singapore, and Tel Aviv.

For those who can't wait to get their Zimmern fix, a ninth season of Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern — yes, that's a different show — premiered on Monday night.
