Twin Peaks Mysteriously Shutters Another Texas Location, Possibly Due to Foul Play

Former employees claim that they were not informed by management of the closure.

Twin Peaks, the highly-profitable breastaurant with a Lynchian name, has permanently shuttered a central Texas outpost with no warning. According to KWTX, the corporate office has permanently closed down a location in Harker Heights. A co-owner of the restaurant tells the news station that the announcement was unexpected. It is unclear what caused the company to close the restaurant's doors, but the news station notes that there was a man inside of the building this morning that suffered a seizure and had to be rescued from the scene by fire fighters.

At least 36 employees lost their jobs due to the closure. Former employees say that they were "never notified by management of the closure" and had to learn about it from coworkers. KCEN-TV notes, however, that an email was sent around to employees that the restaurant would be permanently closing and that everyone would continue to be paid until October 11. The building that housed the restaurant will apparently be put on the market.

Perhaps the shuttering had to do with a slow down in business. An employee tells KCEN-TV that ever since the shooting at the former Waco location of the chain — which is just 50 miles away — the restaurant has not been as busy. Earlier this year, the Waco outpost was the site of a bloody gun battle between rival biker gangs that left nine people dead. The corporate offices permanently shuttered the restaurant shortly after.
