Disgusting Florida Restaurant Gives Health Inspector the Boot

You probably shouldn't eat here.

Plenty of restaurant kitchens are so gross that they're forced to shut down, but one Florida eatery is fighting back against the state's health department. After several violations — live maggots, rodent feces, and more (shudder) — were discovered on multiple visits, the owner of Red Lantern Chinese Food kicked a health inspector out during the middle of an inspection, reports WPLG-TV. A field reporter and camera crew for the station tried to interview Red Lantern's owner, but they were shown the door, too.

Incredibly, the restaurant has a four-star rating on Yelp and Google. This comes despite the fact that Red Lantern was shut down after several repeat violations, before finally cleaning up enough to reopen. See the full report from WPLG-TV below.
