A man in Tulsa, Okla. is on the run after allegedly robbing a Waffle House, according to Tulsa World. Far from the wildest crime to ever occur in this 24-hour breakfast chain, it is nonetheless noteworthy as the man first ordered and ate breakfast at the Tulsa restaurant before perpetrating the crime, police said.
Reports indicated the man — who is said to be in his late 30s or early 40s — sat down at Waffle House's counter around 3 a.m. on Thursday morning. He ordered eggs and hash brows. After he was given his bill, he reportedly passed the server a napkin demanding all the money in the register. Once it was in his hands, he walked out. Full tummy, full wallet. Sources indicate he did not show a weapon.
According to surveillance footage the man, wearing a baseball cap and jacket, sits down at the counter, eats his breakfast, and later approaches the register. According to Tulsa's local FOX affiliate, the note he wrote read: "Give me all the money out of the register. Sorry I have to do this. I have to feed the family. Sorry."

Tulsa police said employees at the Waffle House did not recognize the man, who was last seen driving away from the restaurant.
As far as Waffle House crime goes, this one falls on the less violent side. There have been cases of plate-throwing in South Carolina, armed menu theft in Ohio, and nude nose breaking in Georgia, among other odd occurrences. The 24-hour chain has a history of oddball crime.
