McDonald's Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry Is the Easter Bunny's Worst Nightmare

Thankfully it's relegated to Australia.

Spring is almost here, and that means it's time for McDonald's to unleash its tooth-achingly sweet seasonal dessert creations. While Americans will be sipping on artificially green, minty Shamrock Shakes, in Australia the chain is unveiling McFlurries made with the iconic Easter candy known as Cadbury Creme Eggs.

The chocolate eggs bursting with gooey white-and-yellow cream filling are already sugary enough to put your dentist's kids through college, and when combined with Mickey D's soft-serve they add up to a McFlurry that's got a cringe-inducing 14 teaspoons of sugar. (For context, the World Health Organization recommends that adults consume no more than 6 teaspoons of sugar a day — a limit you'll easily blow past if you're a Starbucks Frappuccino junkie.)

The world's second-largest restaurant chain purchasing a shit-ton of Creme Eggs can only be good news for Cadbury, though: Sales of the holiday confection plummeted by millions of dollars after the company changed the recipe in 2015 to include a cheaper, lower-quality chocolate. They're probably still better than the carrot-free carrot cake Hershey's Kisses, though.
