Bon Appétit Announces Ten Best New Restaurants 2015

Here they are, 'The Hot 10'

This morning, Bon Appétit magazine released its annual list of the country's top 10 new restaurants. The winners were plucked from a list of 50 released earlier this month. For the first time in recent memory, not a single restaurant in Manhattan made the cut. Last year's number one pick was Rose's Luxury, a fancy spot (and Obama favorite) in Washington, DC. This year, the bro-y magazine picked SF-based Aaron London's (formerly Ubuntu) petite and strictly pescatarian restaurant AL's Place for its best new restaurant of the year. Second and third place went to two new, also casual, Los Angeles-based spots. And in fourth place — the only NY-based restaurant to make the cut — Semilla in Brooklyn, which in April Eater NY critic Ryan Sutton called "New York's next great restaurant," and awarded four stars. Here's the full list:

1. AL's Place, San Francisco
2. Gjusta, Los Angeles
3. Petit Trois, Los Angeles
4. Semilla, Brooklyn
5. Parachute, Chicago
6. Dai Due, Austin
7. Kindred, Davidson, NC
8. Rintaro, San Francisco
9. Manolin, Seattle
10. Milktooth, Indianapolis
