It's just as tart as one would imagine
Chicago's Spiteful Brewing has released a new beer aimed at Presidential hopeful Donald Trump. "Dumb Donald" is a double IPA brewed with Key lime so, like the man himself, it might be a little too sour for some tastes. As The Hill reports, the beer's label "shows Trump walking between a monkey and a normal man, a reference to evolution."
The label further describes the reasoning behind the name:
Dumb Donald is, well, dumb. So dumb in fact, we named a beer after him. It's like he got caught in a pause halfway through evolution. His brain still functions, at a minimal level with a vocabulary of a second grade student. You might even start to feel sorry for this man-child. Resist that urge, pop open this Key lime DIPPA and pretend you're on a far away island where people like Dumb Donald simply don't exist.
The response has been positive on the brewery's Facebook page (though one commenter said the label was "insulting to primates") but it's likely that Trump himself wouldn't be a fan. Though he does love eating pizza with a knife and fork and scarfing down McDonald's Big Macs (which he sends New Jersey governor/errand boy Chris Christie to pick up), Trump himself reportedly does not drink alcohol.
Nevertheless, it's not the first time Trump has pissed off a beer brewer. Last year, after Trump made disparaging remarks about Mexican-Americans, the owners of Chicago's 5 Rabbit Cerveceria announced they would no longer brew their special beer for the bar at Trump Tower.
