Iowa Restaurant Honors Donald Trump Visit With 'No-Nonsense' Burger

"We're making the hamburger great again."

No single person in the world right now is as polarizing as Donald Trump. As piñatas created in the presidential candidate's image get smashed to bits by his detractors, a famous restaurant in Iowa has given the Oreo-boycotting billionaire a place of honor on its menu in the form of the Trump Burger.

Northside Cafe in Winterset has been in business for 140 years, and made a cameo in the 1995 film Bridges of Madison County. (The actual bridges are just a short drive from the restaurant.) According to The Hill, the burger was created to coincide with Trump's visit to Winterset as candidates swarm Iowa ahead of next month's all-important caucus.

The menu description of the Trump Burger reads as follows:

Presidential candidate Donald Trump rolled into town this week, so in honor of the occasion the historic Northside Cafe is serving The Trump Burger! Like Trump — this burger is all business. For the man who likes to ham it up for the cameras it's stacked with half a pound of ham, but don't worry — it's piled on top of our famous no nonsense all beef all American monument third pound burger. We've added shredded cheese as Trump continues to shred the competition in the polls. Grilled onions for all the tears from political pundits who can't figure Trump out. And it's served on our incredible Northside bread, right here in the heart of America at the Northside cafe. We're making the hamburger great again with the Trump burger.

The restaurant has previously hosted events with conservatives such as Ben Carson, Rick Santorum, and Mike Huckabee — but lest you dismiss Northside Cafe as being partisan, the restaurant says via Facebook comment it'd be happy to welcome Bernie Sanders "or any of the other Dem candidates."

Speaking of Bernie Sanders, USA Today reports famously liberal ice cream company Ben & Jerry's has created a super limited-edition flavor in his honor: Called "Bernie's Yearning," the description on the pint container reads, "The entire top of this pint is covered with a thick disc of solid chocolate. Underneath is plain mint ice cream. The chocolate disc represents the huge majority of economic gains that have gone to the top 1 percent since the end of the recession. Beneath it, the rest of us."

Meanwhile in Canada, a restaurant recently decided to nix its own Donald Trump-inspired burger — garnished with appropriately high-dollar ingredients like truffle aioli — following Trump's proclamation that Muslims should be barred from entering the U.S.
