Every Paris Restaurant Targeted in the November Terror Attacks Has Now Reopened

La Belle Equipe, where 20 people were killed, reopened today

It's been just over four months since the Paris terror attacks that killed 130 people, and the French capital is continuing on the road to recovery. Today marked the return of La Belle Equipe, reports the Associated Press, one of several restaurants that were targeted by terrorists back in November.

The rebuilt restaurant includes a floral display near the entrance that displays the names of the 19 victims who died there in the attacks; they include Djamila Houd, the wife of restaurant owner Gregory Reibenberg. According to a previous report from the Wall Street Journal, a birthday celebration was being held at the restaurant when the gunmen struck. The AP notes that La Belle Equipe has "[become] a symbol of multicultural France"; Reibenberg is Jewish, while his wife was Muslim, and the restaurant resides in the diverse 11th Arrondissement.

According to the Huffington Post, La Belle Equipe is the last of the affected restaurants to reopen. A Cambodian restaurant, Le Petit Cambodge, held its own grand reopening earlier this month with a packed dining room.
