Thousands of Breweries Collaborated to Make This One Craft Beer

Yes, every brewery's name will be on the can

Small breweries are doing something big in honor of American Craft Beer Week. A total of 4,490 breweries collaborated on a single beer, and the can displays the name of each of the contributors, according to a release.

The campaign aims to unify the small brewers that make up the craft beer community in America, according to AdWeek, and participants spanned all 50 states. The beer will be available at 100 different breweries across the United States. Participants brewed their own beer using the same recipe, with the full expectation that no beer would be identical but that the effort would be a a show of solidarity.

As an added bonus, there will be a nationwide toast at 8 p.m. EST on May 19 at assorted participating locations around the country. The beer will only available during American Craft Beer Week, until May 22.

Craft beer production has seen a steady incline in the U.S. in recent years, with breweries finding inspiration in everything from Broadway plays to television shows to political campaigns — what could be more American than that?
