Yesterday afternoon VP Joe Biden stopped at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams in Columbus, Ohio to promote the President's new overtime rules, which affect millions of restaurant and food production employees. He also took a moment to set the record straight about one longstanding theory: Does Joe Biden love ice cream? Yes, yes he does: "My name is Joe Biden, and I love ice cream," Biden said after he was introduced at the Ohio production facility. "You all think I'm kidding — I'm not. I eat more ice cream than three other people you'd like to be with, all at once." And there you have it, case closed.

— McDonald's Japan has launched a crazy new competition to get people to transform everyday objects into McDonald's french fries with the help of an app. Point the app at a person's spiky blond hair, for instance, and the strands will be transformed into french fries. The best fry photo mash-up wins a McDonald's french fry sculpture that is made of real gold.

— Also in rich people things: Chef René Redzepi has signed on to curate a travel package with the Four Seasons hotels and resorts. This is a three-week journey that pulls out all the stops. Guests will take a private jet to nine different countries, personally meet "some of the world's most exciting chefs" and be treated to dinner in Seoul at chef Jong Kuk Lee's home as well as a meal in Florence prepared by legendary Italian chef Fulvio Pierangelini, "who will come out of retirement" for the event. Other destinations include Tokyo, Thailand, Lisbon, and Copenhagen. Now here's the eye-popping price (of note: This is group travel, not a private tour): Tickets start at $135,000 per person.

— Chicago is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the film Ferris Bueller's Day Off in style. Among the city's planned festivities is a Sausage King of Chicago Abe Froman hot dog cart, which will be stationed on the sidewalk outside of the Willis Tower on select days all summer long.
