Book Deals: Brooks Headley, Sarah Michelle Geller, and More

Chopped judge Chris Santos is writing a cookbook, too.

Here are your Thursday afternoon book deals. According to Publishers Marketplace, Chopped judge and restaurateur Chris Santos (Stanton Social, NYC) is writing a cookbook with Grand Central Life & Style. Called Share: Innovative Recipes for Passing Around Your Table, the book will feature "old school favorites" that are "specifically made" for family-style dining. There are no details regarding a release date yet.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is the latest actress to land a cookbook deal. A press release notes that the book is currently untitled, but it will serve as a guide to "the art of food crafting," whatever that really means. The recipes featured will be healthy and there will be instructions on how to make the foods look "fun." The book will be published by Grand Central Life & Style and it is slated to hit shelves in 2017. Gellar's husband and fellow actor Freddie Prinze Jr. is also in the process of writing a cookbook.

Last but not least, pastry whiz-turned-veggie burger maestro Brooks Headley is writing a cookbook based off of his New York City restaurant Superiority Burger. Grub Street notes that Headley will publish The Superiority Burger Cookbook with W.W. Norton & Company. This is the chef's second cookbook, and it will "serve as the definitive primer on modern American vegetarian cooking." There will be instructions on how to create the restaurant's famed veggie burger, alongside more than 100 other recipes for "creative sides and desserts." The book will hit shelves in 2017.
