Someone Just Paid $8,200 for a Bunch of Grapes

That works out to $315 per grape.

Japan has a penchant for pricey fruit — many are willing to pay as much as $6 for a single banana — but these grapes take the cake. A bunch of Ruby Roman grapes, which are grown in Japan's Ishikawa prefecture, sold for a record-breaking price of $8,200. The bunch had 26 grapes, meaning each grape cost a whopping $315. Perhaps they should be renamed the grapes of (financial) wrath?
