Manager of New Jersey Diner Accused of Recording Patrons Inside Unisex Bathroom

The man lasted three weeks as manager before getting busted.

Diners using the bathroom at a popular New Jersey diner may have been recorded by the establishment's sleazy manager. According to NJ.com, Montclair Police arrested new manager Konstanti Mouritsas on the evening of July 17 after a young child found a hidden cell phone underneath the bathroom sink at Manny's Diner. Luckily, a police officer was dining at Manny's at the time, reports The Jersey Tomato Press. Mouritsas, who had been working at the diner for only three weeks, was first questioned and eventually arrested for the incident. Police said the 33-year-old was charged with invasion of privacy and released on Sunday after posting $100,000 bail.

Mouritsas joins the growing list of creeps — disguised as restaurant employees — who have hidden recording devices inside restrooms to film patrons. A 43-year-old Long Island Jack Shack employee was arrested last month for hiding a mobile device under the bathroom sink, and a Texas man was arrested last year for doing the same in several restaurant restrooms. There was a slew of Starbucks bathrooms in Florida, Southern California, and Washington that were the scenes of the same crime in 2011.
