It's called Curiosity Lager.
Lululemon is expanding its product line beyond pricey see-through workout pants and yoga mats to to include beer. Yes, that's right, beer because nothing balances chakras better than a cold can of lager. According to the CBC, the beer will be craft brewed — after all, yoga lovers with expensive tastes do not drink the cheap stuff.
Made by Vancouver's Stanley Park Brewing, Lululemon's Curiosity Lager is a "crisp, bold session lager" with 4.6 percent alcohol by volume. The Huffington Post writes that the beer, which features "chinook and lemon drop hops," was created in honor of the clothing brand's annual SeaWheeze Half Marathon. 88,000 cans will hit stores across Canada this month.
Doug Devin, the marketing director for Stanley Park Brewing, tells the CBC: "Just because you're a yogi, doesn't mean you won't have an occasion for beer." He adds, "I think Lululemon, by extension, is interested in talking to a more male beer-drinking crowd."
Now that Lululemon has its own beer, perhaps the company will join in on the America's favorite new exercise trend: Yoga classes at breweries. A number of breweries around the country are now playing host to yoga classes where a beer (served after class, of course) is included in in the cost of the class.
